FABULOUS BREAKING NEWS A Huge Congratulations to Our Student – Archie Gillies! We're thrilled to celebrate Sergeant Archie Gillies from 110 (City of York) Squadron, who has successfully completed his Duke of Edinburgh's Gold Award following a demanding four-day expedition through the breathtaking Yorkshire Dales! Archie trekked over 50 miles (80 km) on foot, enduring a mix of sunshine, rain, and wind, while navigating a route that took him through Redmire, Wensley, Horsehouse, Buckden, Arncliffe, and Malham, finishing above Kettlewell. Along the way, he passed iconic landmarks like Buckden Pike, Malham Cove, and Gordale Scar. Archie carried all his own equipment and worked as part of a team to plan and navigate the routeshowing incredible resilience, leadership, and determination. Archie said in the news: "The expedition was challenging but very rewarding, and I would encourage all young people to get involved with the award. I have gained fantastic skills and had a great experience." This achievement marks the culmination of his Gold Award journey, which also included a practice expedition in the North Yorkshire Moors earlier this summer. We couldn't be prouder of Archie and all he's accomplished. He's a shining example of what hard work, teamwork, and perseverance can achieve. Well done! Show your support! We want to see as many likes and hearts celebrating this incredible achievement! #dofegold #studentsuccess #yorkshiredales #110squadron #york #ProudMoment #LeadershipInAction
